Before you book
Everything you want to ask, answered
Cover, deposit, licence, extras and what the contract asks of you. If something is still not clear, write to us on WhatsApp and a person will reply.
Booking and requirements
Do I need an account to book?
No. You choose your dates and your model, you pay and you are done. We ask for your ID and your licence when we hand the cart over, not before.
Do I need a driving licence?
Yes: a valid licence from any country, and you must be 18 or over. Everyone who is going to drive has to be named in the contract.
Can someone else drive it?
Only if they are registered as an additional driver in the contract, with a valid licence. It is an extra you can add to your booking. Nobody outside the contract is allowed to drive the cart.
I am under the minimum age. Can I still rent?
There is a young driver option, subject to our policy and the cover taken out. Ask us before you book and we will tell you whether we can authorise it.
How does the deposit work?
It is money held in trust, not part of the rental price: we take it when we hand the cart over and return it in full when we get the cart back undamaged. It shows up that way on your receipt.
Cover and protection
What protection levels are there?
Three. 90% cover leaves you responsible for 10% of the excess. 100% cover takes your share of the covered damage down to zero. And Defensa a Defensa, our premium option, adds what the other two do not have: roadside assistance, recovery, a replacement cart and priority attention.
What does Defensa a Defensa add over 100% cover?
100% cover protects the vehicle; it does not come and get you. With Defensa a Defensa, if something happens we help you on the road, we recover the cart when that is needed and, if the unit cannot carry on, we look for a replacement so your trip can. Not just protection — backup.
What is not covered by any of them?
Traffic fines and any legal liability arising from an incident are never covered. Nor are lost keys, a lost number plate, damage or stains to the upholstery, or being pulled out of the sand.
Who pays a traffic fine?
Whoever was driving. Fines picked up during the rental are the customer’s, and no level of protection covers them.
What do I do if I have an accident?
Leave the cart where it happened and call us straight away. Do not move it and do not arrange anything on your own: we take it from there.
Extras and services
Do you deliver the cart to my hotel?
Yes, to your hotel, villa, Airbnb or wherever you are staying, and we can pick it up the same way. It depends on the distance and the area, and it is arranged when you book.
Can I pick it up or drop it off outside your opening hours?
Yes, as an extra service. Tell us the time when you book so we can have someone there.
What else can I add to my booking?
An additional driver, a child seat, our beach kit, pet friendly travel, extra hours, an extended zone and priority service. Every extra is arranged before or during the rental and depends on availability.
Can I take my dog?
Yes, with our pet friendly option. Your pet has to travel safely and you are responsible for any damage or deep clean it causes. Some restrictions apply depending on the unit.
Can I keep the cart longer than I booked?
Yes, by the hour, if the cart is free afterwards. Message us before your return time and we will confirm it.
Driving it and giving it back
Where can I drive it?
On flat ground and paved roads, within the area named in your contract. The cart cannot leave that zone, and it is not made for the federal highway.
Who charges the battery?
You do, during the rental, the same way you would look after any vehicle you have borrowed. It leaves us charged at 100%. If you cannot charge it yourself, we have a service for that.
How should I give it back?
In the same state you got it. Ordinary sand and dust are fine — a deep clean is only charged when the cart comes back with stains, food, drink or an unusual amount of sand.
What happens if I lose the key?
It is not covered by any protection level: cutting a new key is charged separately. Tell us as soon as you notice.
Can I use it to carry passengers for money?
No. The cart is for your own use and that of the drivers named in the contract. Carrying people for payment, subletting it or passing the rental on to someone else are not allowed.
This page is a plain-language summary. What binds both sides is the rental contract you sign and, where it applies, the insurance policy: their terms, exclusions, excesses and limits are the ones that count.
